Gospel Reflections

Who can ever imagine the Word of GOD withstanding beyond time, space and generations of human wisdom put together. Unexplainable but true. God's Word is Eternal. Im creating this topic to allow anyone who would like to share how certain events of their lives have been transformed by the Gospels. You can also share your reflections on any Gospel passages youve read during the day or week.

Kindly refrain from Doctrinal or Theological explainations here. Any inappropriate postings will be removed.

GOD bless!

Holy Week

Holy Thurs or Maundy Thurs as some would call it, never fails to remind me of Jesus' ultimate humility in the washing of his disciples' feet. It is unimaginable for my parents to even wash, dry and kiss my feet! Yet, Jesus, who is the Son of GOD did just that without any hesitations or reservations. In John 13:1-15, we are told of Simon Peter's failure to understand this humbling act of the Messiah.

Reflecting on this passage by 'placing' myself in the Gospel scene, I asked myself what my reaction will be if I was one of the disciples seated at the table during that moment in time. Its certainly one of those lessons of Jesus' that are hard to comprehend. How can the Son of GOD lower Himself to the extend of washing of my feet? Perhaps I will offer to wash His feet instead when He comes to me with the basin; ie. subtly telling Jesus "No you cant wash my feet."

I wonder what Jesus will say to me. Having a part in Christ requires me to accept His message wholly and as it is. GOD never fails to surprise me.

Does GOD Always Forgive?

An ideal answer from the head will be a resounding "Yes!". However it becomes challenging when we have to deal with the reality of this question with our hearts when we find ourselves or others unforgiveable. Here's some short references from Scriptures that tell us, "GOD does forgive" whatever the circumstances:

Luke's Gospel

5:17-26 - Jesus forgives and cures the Paralytic
7:36-50 - Jesus and a Penitent woman
15:1-7 - The Story of the Lost Sheep
15:8-10 - The Misplaced Silver Coin
15:11-32 - The Prodigal Son
19:1-10 - Jesus and Zacchaeus, the Tax Collector

Other Gospels

Matt 9:9-13 - Jesus' concern for Sinners
John 8:1-11 - A Woman caught in Adultery
John 20:19-23 - Jesus' Easter gift of Peace and Forgiveness

In All Gospels - The Passion of our Lord. Christ dying for our sins.

Welcome to The Ministry

Above All Powers is an inspiration taken from a spiritually moving song, performed by Lenny Leblanc. It describes the love of Christ for everyone that is above all powers, kingships, nature and wealth. A love that transcends even beyond all created things. The highlight of Christ's love was His crucifixion; ie. Christ willingly taking the fall for the entire human race; like a rose trampled on the ground. Christ rejected. Christ alone.

Enough said. Hope you'll enjoy my blog.

GOD bless!
